Albums worth exploring

I admit I never have time to listen to music but when I do, I want to hear what I missed all at once. I always listen to the latest albumsĀ of my favourite artists. If you’re like me or you want to get into the world of music, I’ve compiled a list of albums form a range of genres I feel could help:

Non-Fiction by Ne-Yo

If you’re into R&B, I would definitely recommend giving this album a shot. And what better way to start than with Ne-Yo? He’s definitely one of the best artists in this genre and this album is definitely worth giving a try if you’re a fan of R&B or wanting to see what it’s like.

Time by Mikky Ekko

Personally, I wasn’t really into pop/alternative, which is the genre of this album. But after listening to Mikky Ekko on Rihanna’s song ‘Stay’, I fell in love with his voice. That was what motivated me to consider listening to this album and it’s truly a reflection of his voice on ‘Stay’. This is really a great album to explore the world of pop/alternative and Mikky Ekko’s wonderful voice with.

Smoke + Mirrors by Imagine Dragons

When I want to listen to rock, this is personally a really great album for me. Everyone loves Imagine Dragons! And this album is just as great as all their other works.

Dark Sky Paradise by Big Sean

Exploring the music world, Hip Hop is one of the genres you’re more likely to not hate. Big Sean is one of the best known artists in this genre and his albums are rarely a disappointment.

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar

Personally, rap is my favourite form of music to listen to. This may not be the same for everyone but this album by KendrickĀ has enough of some other genres incorporated into it that both the hardcore rap fans like myself and non rap fans can enjoy it.

Spring Break…….Checkin’ Out by Luke Bryan

I got really into country about last year when I moved to Canada. I never really listened to country before and when I started, I definitely felt like I had missed out. I started with Luke Bryan last year and he brought me into the country world. I think he could do the same for you!

These are some of the albums that have put me through those bad grades at school and have helped me get those As in the crucial finals. Even in non school situations, when I’m simply bored at home or looking for some entertainment to get through the cleaning hours. I hope this gives you a range of albums to explore the music world with and more importantly, that you enjoy ! šŸ™‚
