Hey Humans!!
Haha!! That sounds super-weird eh!! But in reality, yes we are human beings and we have feelings for every moment of our lives. What do we rely on while making a decision? Brain or heart?? Well,whatever suits us the best. But trust me, for every decision made by the brain, there is an emotion developed in our heart (I made it sound like some biology lesson!) But as I am writing this, I wonder if emotions even play a role in our “modern” lives.
We are developing at a super fast pace and in today’s times, PROFESSIONALISM is the key to success. I feel Professionalism has transformed its meaning from dynamic and formal conduct to some sugar-coated word which means ‘restrictions on expressing ones feelings.’ Does developing mean losing the personalized human to human bond?
The other day while walking home from summer school, I heard a grade 9 boy say ” I can’t tell my teacher that the reason I wasn’t attentive in class today is my sister’s illness. Because that’s just not professional.” And I could see the darkest shadow of professionalism right there!
I am not trying to look down on professionalism. It has its place in everybody’s lives. But I am trying to bring back the value of emotions! Emotions that neither follow any rules of sophistication or professionalism nor do they look at the current trends in the society. They are just there…lingering in our souls, occasionally reminding us of being humans! YES WE ARE HUMANS!!! GO FEEL THE MOTIONS OF YOUR EMOTIONS!!
