Event Countdown: BEAM Festival

BALANCE. EMPOWER. ACTION. MOVEMENT. These are the principals of BEAM.

Are you free this Sunday? Then you have no excuse not to attend BEAM Festival! Created by the founders of Little Hippies Kids Yoga, BEAM is a full-day event for teens ranging from 12-18 focusing on mindfulness and mental health through music, yoga, and the arts. Does Little Hippies sound familiar? That’s because you’ve probably read about them in previous YAA posts. Take it from me when I say they are so much more than just a yoga business. They operate under the get-one-give-one model, so every class with them means a free class for children in need, and BEAM is no different. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Little Hippies Foundation to allow events like this to continue, as well as open up to children the benefits of yoga.

Designed to inspire and promote social change about the way youth view mental health, the event will be held at Rundle jr/sr high school  and includes amenities such as an indoor marketplace (like a mini Market Collective!), your $20 ticket gets you far at BEAM, including a goody bag with trinkets from local businesses and organizations, a healthy lunch, and the opportunity to hear and work with a team of amazing speakers. It also includes glow-in-the-dark body paint for the dance party at the end of the event. Don’t miss out on your chance to create change while having a ton of fun, tickets and more information available at beamfestival.org
