GYS 2011 Graphic

Global Youth Summit (GYS) is an annual event that gathers high school students from the Calgary area to take local action on global issues. Through art and music, workshops, video projects, small-group discussions and participatory learning, we share skills and build relationships in order to impact our local community and our world.  GYS is a local initiative created by and for Calgary-area youth, and supported by YMCA Calgary, the Canadian Red Cross, and s.c.r.e.a.m. Check us out on Facebook, Tumblr, and WordPress.

Bui. Lisa Bui. I’m a self asserted History and English nerd but anything extreme, from mountain biking to skydiving, and you can count me in. I enjoy classical music to the point that I swear the sound of C-Train doors closing beep to Beethoven’s Fur Elise. My favourite novel is Sherlock Holmes. What’s the funniest thing about me? I burst into laughter when anyone ever says the word “strange”.
