Homemade hair and skin beauty tips

*Please note any allergies you have with any of these products!*

Have you tried any store bought beauty products and ended up not having any change, or having an even WORSE change? Here are some homemade beauty hair and skin tips with which you can pamper yourself during the weekends! There are also a few precautions with store bought products.

Beauty products that you MUST be cautious about:

1) Lipsticks, Lip Gloss, and Lip Balms

Lipstick

Lipsticks, lip gloss, and lip balm have been recently discovered with lead in them! This lead is very cancerous and can also harm unborn babies! To check if your lipstick has lead in it or not, dab a little bit of your lipstick onto something made of gold and check if it turns black. If it turns black, then your lipstick does contain lead, and if it doesn’t you can go back to using it again!

2) Foundation

Foundation

Foundation is known to make your skin look smooth and flawless. However, once the foundation’s taken off, nothing is smooth and flawless anymore. Chemicals in the foundation block your skin pores, resulting in a lot of acne that increases the more you use the foundation. So stop using your foundation and start using homemade remedies instead.

Homemade remedies that bring out your natural beauty:

1) Remedy for dry hair

Hair oil

Who has troubles with dry staticky hair? That’s right, I do! My hair is super dry AND frizzy, and it causes a lot of problems for me. However, I started following these steps, and it has helped me quite a lot with my hair. Before you shower, apply a lot of oil to your hair. This leaves your hair silky and shiny after you wash it for at least a week. If your hair is really, really dry, apply a little bit of oil and just a little extra at the ends, to give it a smooth look. This last option might seem really gross, but it does work wonders. Apply plain white yogurt to your hair and wait for it to dry, then go for a shower.

2) Dry Skin

Moisturize me

Dry skin is THE worst and everyone has the problem, whether it be in the summer or winter or even BOTH. It results in white or dark patches and eventually cracking and bleeding of the skin. Moisturize your skin daily using baby oil or vaseline petroleum jelly. These work better than normal lotions and stay on for the whole day. Apply more at night, just before you go to bed, to wake up with glowing skin.

3) Dry Lips

Butter

Dry lips are terrible. They crack all the time and bleed all the time. And what better way to cure them other than using a home remedy? Apply butter instead of lip gloss or lip balm while you’re at home, to make your natural lips look even better than they look like with the artificial beauty products. But feel free to use lipsticks and lip gloss while you’re outside as much as you want to.

4) Dark Patches

Dark patches on the upper lip, under the eyes, and the cheeks look terrible on everybody. The easiest way to get rid of them is applying plain milk yogurt. It whitens the dark patches and brings a glow to your face as well.

Here are your homemade remedies. Let your natural beauty flow and spend lesser time on your makeup while getting ready for school, university, and work.
