If your looking for an amazing donut experience Jelly Modern Doughnuts is the place for you. With a wide selection of doughnuts, that change in availability from day to day, its impossible to get bored. Picking a favourite will also be an impossibility; some of mine include the s’more donut, which features homemade marshmallow, the coconut doughnut, which has a coconut creme filling, and the bacon maple doughnut, probably the most Canadian doughnut ever. The doughnuts are made with as much local and organic produce as possible, for the best taste possible. They are made fresh from scratch daily and topped with homemade glazes and fillings. If you can’t make it to their location on 8th Street, they can be found at Calgary Farmers’ Market, and their food-truck roams around Calgary.
The only downside to Modern Jelly Doughnuts is the price. Compared to Tim Horton’s doughnuts, these gourmet delights are straight up expensive, costing over $2 per donut and almost $25 for a dozen. Still, you get what you pay for and the quality of these doughnuts is unbelievable, once you’ve tried these doughnuts you’ll never go back.
