Be the Calgary Public Library’s new mascot!

Volunteer to be the Library mascot!

The Calgary Public Library is looking for people who want to step inside the wonderful Curious the Chameleon mascot costume and transform into a friendly, furry mascot! If you love to pump up the crowd, this is the job for you.

The Mascot’s duties include greeting the public at Library events and being cute. In addition, you can get your friends involved too! The mascot, since he cant speak directly to any people, needs some “handlers” to interact on behalf of him to the public and ensure the mascot’s safety.

The library is looking for volunteers who are outgoing, friendly, reliable, and who enjoy interacting with everyone from babies to seniors. They ask that applicants have excellent communication skills and are able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.

For more information please contact katie.radke@calgarypubliclibrary.com or 403-221-2036.

Fame, fun, and an all-around awesome volunteer opportunity could be yours!
