Does Being Mature Mean Not Having Fun?

LIving LifeThey say our teenage years will be the time of our lives but does that mean once we are mature the fun will mysteriously disappear? Well in my case I hope it doesn’t because I believe we live to have fun and enjoy. Let’s be serious, do people work all their lives for nothing? No pleasure, no leisure, just more work? Well honestly, I HOPE NOT! We should enjoy every part of our lives as if we didn’t have a tomorrow, because we don’t even know if we do! In society their are a quantity of people who act like they hate life, as if they have no fun whatsoever. These people scare me, because when I see them, I think of my future. What if I become like them? Okay, Okay maybe I am over exaggerating…just a bit… but come on when you see people that act mature doesn’t it look like no fun at all? Maybe it is personal experience but I think  the concept of maturity is blown out of perspective.

Maturity: Maturity is the stage in which there is an organization that has reached its full development. (Dictionary Definition)
Is it just me or is that word more scientifically related than personally/morally related?

So… MATURE DOESN’T MEAN NOT  HAVING FUN..it is a scientific term relating to biology perhaps?! To all those who act as if the world will come to an end if they laugh or smile get over yourself!! Just because you have formed into an adult doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy yourself with friends. It doesn’t mean you can’t smile at strangers on the train.

Bottom line is maturity is overrated! I feel as if a lot of adults make their lives difficult acting “mature “when in reality we are all kids on the inside, whether you accept it or not. Having fun and enjoying the little pleasures in life isn’t wrong.

No matter how old you are this quote by Gordon B. Hinckley applies to you, ” Life is to be enjoyed NOT to be endured.”

Come on Readers, Let’s throw out the concept of maturity from society and just have fun! Let’s leave the word maturity as only a scientific term!

Beauty and Fashion Editor! Thank you for reading and connecting with my blogs. I've been asked to say a little something about myself so here I go: I am a dreamer, I am a shameless idealist. I am a believer. I am a romantic. I am on a journey of my own, a little journey you may call life. To me life is pure adventure, which knowledge is the key to, and experience is the outcome of. Life is a beautiful journey of which I refuse to deprive myself the simple pleasure of enjoying. Life is a gift, I choose to cherish it.
