Things only people with glasses will understand

Oh glasses, we can’t live with them, and we can’t live without them. They make life go from 480p to HD in a matter of seconds. Who doesn’t like that? No one, absolutely no one, but with great advantage, there has to be some disadvantages. Here are a couple of those pesky things that come with wearing glasses.

  • You have to choose between lying down on your side with glasses off or lying down regardless and risk permanently crooked glasses.
All my life’s struggles are over.
  • When your glasses get smudged and you try to clean them with your shirt but it’s not the right fabric and matters just get worse.

  • Sometimes your glasses just don’t work with your outfit. Betrayal of the utmost high.
I wish I could always be as on point as The Rock in this photo.
  • Glasses aren’t always the best thing to have on your face especially when you’re doing sports so you have to put something in your eyeball that puts you at risk for infection and the sensation of a dry Sahara dessert all so you can distinguish a tree from a very still person

  • They tend to get foggy really fast. Want to enjoy a nice hot beverage? Nope. Cooking? No. Simply breathing on a cold day? Hahaha… no.
I don’t know about you guys but I don’t look that serene when it happens.
  • You can’t wear glasses in the shower (unless you want them to fog up and leave you utterly useless regardless). So you might often mistake your conditioner for shampoo and your shampoo for conditioner.

  • When you don’t have them on and people do that thing where they put up a number of fingers in front of your face asking you how many they’re holding up.
This is how people see with/without glasses. It gets all blurry we don’t all of a sudden start seeing three heads.
  • You and Velma become one. Then after you don’t find them, you start having a heart attack because those things are really expensive!

  • Costumes are harder to pull off… usually
Yeah… maybe not..
Gotta love a good ol’ Waldo cosplay

  • They keep falling down your nose and you have to keep pulling a “nerd.”

  • Putting 3D glasses over your prescription glasses… glassesception….
One would have thought that there would be an accessible solution to this by now but ok, I guess not.

  • Needing to take them off because of the headache sneaking up on you.

Though wearing glasses has its baggage, I’m grateful for this invention because it’s nice having the opportunity to not bump into things and having permanent bruises.
