At first glance, I thought this was some sort of exceptional painting that took goodness knows how long to perfect. I was surprised to find that this is actually a real life photo of a Hawaiian volcano spewing lava into the sea, taken under extremely risky conditions. Obviously lava burns (excuse the pun), and straying too close will not end well. I’m simply blown away by the beauty of this picture, and at the remarkable talent and challenges of these photographers.
