San Jose Sharks vs. Calgary Flames 4-0 Victory!

The Flames have done it again, beating out the San Jose Sharks for their first road game loss! The battle was epic and Flames came in with a win, putting them back on top of the Northwest board.

1st Period

This determined it all, the Flames came to the ice with fire, pushing the puck to the San Jose defense zone. The Flames took action with the first power play scoring at 4:12, all thanks to Rene Bourque, who had just recently come back from a head injury. His tremendous work sent the Flames on a roll. But before you knew it, Ryane Clowe of the San Jose Sharks and Tim Jackman went at it! The fight fuels the Flames to score again, thanks to our beloved Iggy and his assistant Tanguay! They came back less than two minutes later and score another. It’s 2-0 now, and the momentum just keeps building. The Flames are built up with adrenaline and just when I thought the Sharks might be back to bite, Conroy flicks it in at 8:36, sending the stadium wild. The exciting first period doesn’t come to a close yet. The Flames just don’t seem to be finished! Rene Bourque comes back again for seconds, with the assist of Tanguay at 11:47. Like they say, “He shoots! He scores!” At the end of 1st period it’s 4-0.

2nd Period

When it comes down to second period the Flames seem to be losing their momentum. The Sharks and the Flames go head to head, with each side balancing each other out. The Sharks got a few great shots. With the Sharks biting back, the Flames didn’t have very many shots on goal, and nothing went in. At the end of second period it was still 4-0.

3rd Period

Third and last, Sharks came in strong, with the ratio of 9-6 shots, the Sharks were going in for the kill, having more chances to score. Thanks to Miikka Kiprusoff the Flames were saved. He blocked all 27 shots thrown at him that night. The defense was great and no shots got in! At the  end of the third the score remained the same at 4-0 giving the Flames another home game victory!
