Stampede 2012 Food Binge: Loukoumathes (Greek Honey Puffs)

Name of Food: Loukoumathes – Greek Honey Puffs

Where to Buy: On the Midway, in front of the BMO centre (it’s a small white truck)

Cost: $5 for a small container (imagine the Strofoam ones), $9 for a large one

What makes it worthwhile: The small container actually has a lot of the honey puffs, so if you wanted to try them, just get the small dish. I actually want to change the verdict I made in my video: they may seem good at first, but over time, the flavour is lost and all you’re left with chewing is dough. Doughnuts are far more delicious, even if the outside isn’t seasoned with strawberry sauce, chocolate, sesame seeds or cinnamon. It’s only worth the buy if you don’t mind the Juicy Fruit effect (warning: clicking the link leads to a comic with profanity!)
