Stampede 2011- A Royal Affair

The Calgary Stampede, the biggest rodeo show on earth, approaches a fresh start by including the presence of the Dutch and the Duchess of Cambridge for 2011. If you stayed up late watching the royal wedding, now is your chance to catch a glimpse of Prince William and his wife, Kate in real life. The Stampede Parade is expected to feature the couple, which indicates high security and more turnouts that usual.

Even if you are not enticed with the royal touch, you can still expect to have a blast during this week as the organizational committees have brought back the excitement and the festivity to this event. All of the activities running during the Stampede from July 8 to 17 can be found on the Stampede website which enables users to customize their experience. You can enjoy this year’s Stampede your way by clicking here.

So here is what you can expect from this year’s Stampede:

1) Festivity and enthusiasm among the Calgary crowd!

2) Pancake breakfasts- Like every year, be sure to tune in for some community fun as different places and organizations offer free pancake breakfast. A detailed list of free breakfasts can be viewed by clicking here.

3) And the traditional: Grand Stand Show and Coca-Cola Stage.

The Stampede is fast approaching, so be sure to get your cowboy/cowgirl attitude on along with your shiny boots. So what are you waiting for? Click here to get access to the tickets for the big events and package deals.
