Hoops Extreme is a basketball event held every year to promote Calgary’s youth to be involved in basketball. This year it was held at the Genesis Centre located in the NE. It was a great turnout as 60 youth from all across Calgary showed up to compete in this basketball tournament. The Western Team brought home the winning prize! There were players who compete regularly in basketball, and others just play basketball for fun. It was truly a fun filled day for the basketball players. They all received YMCA shirts, water bottles and a filling lunch for the day. The event ran from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m..
