Youth of YYC now open for submissions!

Are you interested in photography and advocating youth culture? If so, then you may have heard about the Youth of YYC Facebook page; an initiative designed to celebrate young individuals whilst promoting Youth Week Calgary.

Since the start of this facebook page, we at the Youth Week Steering Committee (the six-person group includes three YAA bloggers; Rebecca, Audrey, and myself) have come to realize the importance of the page in allowing youth to voice their insightful thoughts and opinions. I am happy to announce on behalf of my committee members that starting this holiday season, Youth of YYC will now be open to submissions! Submissions can be sent to youthofyyc@gmail.com, and must include an image at least 500×500 pixels in size. We do ask that the photo must be of a youth you know, and that a caption is included as well.

We hope to post all of the submissions we receive, but please keep in mind that the page is meant to be a safe and respectful environment. If your submission is found to contain inappropriate and/or offensive content, we reserve the right to refrain from posting it. Since we are a public page, we hope that consideration is taken of those featured in the photo and that you receive consent from the individual for their image to be posted on the page.

If you happen to have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to drop us a question through our page or email! We thank you for your continued support of our content and are looking forward to seeing your contributions on the page!

Happy Holidays from the Youth Week 2015 Steering Committee!
