YAA Holiday Countdown 2018: How To Make Gingerbread Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. Flour – 3 cups [375 g]
  2. Sugar – 3/4 cup [150 g]
  3. Molasses – 1/2 cup [165 g]
  4. Melted butter – 3/4 cup [170 g]
  5. Water – 1/2 cup [120 ml]
  6. Baking Soda – 1 teaspoon
  7. Ginger – 1 teaspoon
  8. Salt – 1 teaspoon
  9. Cinnamon – 2 teaspoons
  10. Egg – 1

 

Directions:

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Generously dust the dough with flour
  3. Separate the dough into 2-3 sections and cover the dough with plastic wrap or wax paper
  4. Make sure to chill the dough for at least 4 hours [Optional: overnight]
  5. Dust a smooth surface with flour and roll out a section of the dough
  6. Use a cookie cutter or a knife to cut out any desired shapes
  7. Place the shapes on some parchment paper on top of a baking sheet
  8. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or on a 180 degree Celsius temperature for 10-15 minutes
